Beautifully preserved, vintage 1970s, Nathan George Horwitt Museum Clock. The clock was produced by Howard Miller of Zeeland, Michigan, USA. The Avant-Garde Modernist design features a black face with a single white circle indicating the 12 position. Two white hands rotate to indicate time. The body is white painted metal, glass covering the face, powered by a battery operated quartz movement.
The award wining clock was made part of the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art in New York) design collection in 1970. Labels on the back side indicate it’s distinction “Museum of Modern Art Design Collection 1970.” Maker and designer name are also labeled on the back along with model number, 622-342 The clock remains part of the museum’s permanent collection.
This particular clock has been restored a new quartz movement and battery. Clock works. The white and black areas are very clean except for some minor flaws.
